A panel of civil rights scholars and educators will discuss the research, design and public reception of the FDR Library’s 2023-24 special exhibit, “Black Americans, Civil Rights, and the Roosevelts, 1932-1962,” while exploring the historical complexities of the Roosevelts’ role in the civil rights movement and its relevance to today’s fight for social justice.
The lecture is facilitated by the Handel Family Endowed Chair to Perpetuate the Legacy of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt.
