The Chamber's Nonprofit Committee presents a seminar focusing on financial management within nonprofits.
Join us for this enlightening, one-of-a-kind nonprofit seminar to learn how to avoid disaster, build financial resilience, and grow. Blending the perspectives of a seasoned nonprofit executive and board member, presenters will explore ways an organization’s board and management team work together to ensure financial sustainability, strong oversight, and decisions to support growth and innovation. The seminar is relevant to everyone who is involved with a nonprofit organization, small and large and varied levels of experience.
Finance is every person’s business in a nonprofit.
Fiscal oversight, strategy and everyday management practices cross the line between a nonprofits management team and its board of directors. This seminar will include everyday best practices including lessons learned through audits, financial reviews, and contract management. Real and relatable examples will be given that will guide participants through avoiding and recovering from crisis within the organization. It will also cover ways of integrating financial objectives, marketing strategies, and the fiduciary responsibilities of board members.
