The Career Action Center (CAC) is poised to embark on an exciting new chapter of programming within Poughkeepsie High School this year. Since 2014, the CAC has been committed to empowering PHS students with a full service job and career planning services through its Drop-In Center and individual mentoring – through its Mentoring Program.

The Career Action Center is up and running for the new school year. The CAC welcomed back previous group of students as well as the new class of 2026. The program has started to build connections with youth and staff as we gradually increase momentum for the upcoming months.

Through collaborations and partnerships, we have been able to provide internship, mentoring, and connections to local employers.

The drop-in center is open daily from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm and provides students with the necessary skills to identify and pursue their career interests and/or obtain employment. Now more than ever, it is critical for our youth to receive the support necessary to help them thrive.
