    Scholarships Applications Now Open

    The Chamber Foundation is pleased to announce that its scholarship program is currently accepting applications with a deadline of April 1. Please see a summary of the scholarship descriptions below and share with those you feel may be eligible. Applications are online and require letters of recommendation, an essay, academic transcripts, and more.     ATHENA Adult Scholarship
    Available to any female Dutchess County resident who works or volunteers in Dutchess County, has graduated high school or its equivalent, or graduated college, and been out of school for at least five years, and is pursuing education at an accredited New York State college, university or trade school or through an accredited online educational program.


    Charles S. North Scholarship for Music and Art
    Available to any graduating high school senior who is a resident of Dutchess County and is majoring in music performance, music/art education, or visual arts (ceramics, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, filmmaking, and architecture) at an accredited college or university in the United States.

    Cosimo DiBrizzi Culinary Arts Scholarship
    Available to any resident of the Mid-Hudson Valley (counties of Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, and Ulster) who is pursuing a career at the Culinary Institute of America. Student must be accepted (or currently enrolled) at the CIA and planning to attend within the next six months. If currently enrolled, student must have residency in the Hudson Valley for at least five years.

    Eileen Hickey Nursing Scholarship – Sponsored by The Pines at Poughkeepsie Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation
    Available to any resident of Dutchess County who is pursuing a career in nursing at a college in New York State.

     
    Juan Lafuente Leadership Scholarship
    Available to any resident of Dutchess County based on student’s demonstration of: academic achievement,  especially in the areas of math and science; leadership contributions to school and community; and character. Students must attend an accredited NY State college, university or trade school. Open to any academic major.

     Linda and Steven Lant Scholarship
    Available to Dutchess County high school seniors or undergraduates at a college in New York State who attended high school in Dutchess County, pursuing a degree in any academic major. Students must attend a college in New York State. Financial need must be demonstrated along with academic performance and extra-curricular activities. Special consideration will be given to candidates who hold employment while going to school. 

     Norman and Rita Nussbickel Memorial Scholarship
    Available to graduating seniors from Arlington, Beacon, John Jay, or Roy C. Ketcham High Schools who have demonstrated strong academic, athletic, and community service in high school.

    Richard W. Mitchell Memorial Scholarship – with support from the Hudson Valley Young Professionals
    Available to high school senior residents of Dutchess County who are faced with significant economic, physical, developmental, or emotional barrier(s) while advancing their education. Students must attend an accredited New York State college, university or trade school. Participants of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Foundation workforce development and leadership programming are encouraged to apply.
