The Hudson Valley has had the first hints of warmer weather, reminding us that spring is on its way, and bringing a full calendar of Chamber events with it, including signature events, ribbon cuttings, and plenty of chances for fun along the way. These are opportunities for your business to get involved, be seen in the community, and network with other members.
In April, we’ll be celebrating the region’s Forty Under 40 Mover and Shaker Awards to deserving young professionals. We are also gearing up for the Cosimo DiBrizzi Celebrity Servers Dinner, where business leaders can participate to benefit the Cosimo DiBrizzi Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship, established by the family of Cosimo DiBrizzi, the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce and The Chamber Foundation, was created to honor the memory of this well-respected restaurateur and friend to many in the Hudson Valley.
In May, The Great Hudson Valley Scavenger Hunt will take place for the second year, encouraging foot traffic to many of our small businesses. If you are a business with a storefront, think ahead now about how your business can be part of this unique event.
In June, there is the annual Day of Golf, benefiting the Norman and Rita Nussbickel Memorial Scholarship. This is always a great day out of the office for a great cause. The scholarship enables students who have demonstrated leadership qualities in academics, athletics and community to pursue educational opportunities after their four years in high school.
And of course, come September, the 31st Annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival offers a wealth of opportunities for sponsorships and vendors.
All of these signature events by the Chamber and the Chamber Foundation are created for the benefit of our members, and with the intention of supporting the area’s economic vitality. I hope you will think creatively and bring your enthusiasm for attending, sponsoring, and engaging with us this year.
