The anticipated Learn to Run Program will kick off Tuesday, April 16th from 6-8 pm in Bowdoin Park. This beginner's running program takes place weekly, every Tuesday, through June 4th. Gather your co-workers, friends and family and register as a group for extra motivation!
Over the course of 8 weeks, participants in the Learn to Run group will progress from non-runners to being able to run for 15 minutes without stopping. This program is designed to assist and to encourage individuals interested in the sport of running to learn safe and effective running habits with the goal of gradually improving distance and pace.
John Nunez, PT, DPT of Feldman Physical Therapy will be the technical coach for the program. Dr. Nunez and his team members will provide expert advice at each program session to help each runner successfully and safely learn and practice a safe running routine. Participants will learn how to warm up, cool down, stretch, and stay injury free.
The program is limited to 60 participants; only those who have registered can take part – no exceptions! The program welcomes persons of all ages. Parent or Guardian must sign waiver on behalf of minor child. To register visit dcrcoc.org/events, or call 845.454.1700.
