The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that for the third year, The Great Hudson Valley Scavenger Hunt will begin Friday, July 1, and run until Sunday, July 23. Teams will compete for their chance to win cash and prizes, including the Grand Prize of $2,023 in cash. This event is free and open to the public. YES, no cost to participate, courtesy of our sponsors KeyBank, and Adams Fairacre Farms.
Teams can consist of one or more people and must be registered at www.HVScavengerHunt.com to qualify for any of the event’s prizes and promotions. Participants will be directed to visit locations, find a prominently placed poster with a QR code scan the code with a smartphone, and enter the “Key” word from the poster. Many locations will have special promotions for contest participants, but purchase is not required. The Grand Prize drawing will take place after the contest period on Friday, July 28.
Teams can also listen each morning to Q92 for that day’s special clue, which leads to a featured location of the day. By visiting that location on that day, you will get extra points and qualify to win “Marino and Marissa’s Money!” – gift cards hidden throughout the Hudson Valley!
In addition to the grand prize of $2,023 in cash, the second-place winner will win $500, and the third-place winner will win $250. Additional prizes include “Most Points”, “Best Selfie”, “Best Team Spirit”, and “Best Team Name.” You can follow #HVScavengerHunt on Facebook and Instagram for daily updates, and to submit photos to be in the running for Best Selfie and Best Team Spirit.
Last year, more than 600 participants and over 75 participating locations were involved. We only expect this year to be bigger and better, so don’t miss this chance to promote your business and gain foot traffic as The Great Hudson Valley Scavenger Hunt sends contestants to your location…absolutely free!
