The start of the holiday season is here and as locals plan to shop to find the perfect addition to seasonal celebrations, the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce encourages everyone to Think Local First.
Dutchess County merchants offer one-of-a-kind gifts, décor, apparel, jewelry, culinary creations, and so much more right here in our own neighborhoods. When you shop local, tax dollars fuel back into the community. When the local economy is thriving, local organizations, government, and the overall community are stronger and more vibrant. This is the principle behind Small Business Saturday, which lands Saturday, November 24th this year.
The Chamber is committed to being a regional business advocate and has once again partnered with American Express in promoting Small Business Saturday—held the day after Black Friday—every year since the campaign’s launch in 2010.
If your business plans to be open on Saturday, November 24th and accepts American Express, please visit dcrcoc.org/shopsmall and register to receive Small Business Saturday promotional materials and key information on how to get the most out of this important initiative. Materials are limited, available on a first-come, first-served basis, and will also be handed out at the Contact Breakfast on Wednesday, November 14 at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel & Conference Center. Members who sign up will be listed on our website.
Shoppers can visit dcrcoc.org/shopsmall to see a list of local merchants participating.
Founded in 1907, the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is committed to the growth and development of local businesses and the economy.
