  • Finding American Women's Voices Through the Centuries

A presentation and luncheon with genealogist Jane Wilcox

This Saturday, join professional genealogist Jane Wilcox for a Women's History Month presentation, sponsored byWoodland Pond at New Paltz.

    Saturday, March 12, 12 pm
    Deyo Hall (6 Broadhead Avenue)

    Registration is required.
Wilcox will explore forgotten voices of women through documents that were likely their only forms of expression, ranging from the humble 17th century all the way through the progressive 20th century. Not only will this event celebrate the strength of women throughout the centuries, but also highlight the long and arduous journey American women undertook to arrive at the present day. Joining the talk is Historic Huguenot Street’s very own Librarian & Archivist Carrie Allmendinger, who will showcase pieces from HHS’s own collection which signify evidence of women’s voices over the course of the region’s history.

A cold lunch and refreshments will be served, provided by Bridgecreek Catering.
