THERE ARE THREE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FLIGHT OPTIONS:

1. FULL FLIGHT MORNING
2. FULL FLIGHT EVENING
3. TETHERED RIDE

​FULL HOT-AIR BALLOON FLIGHT INFORMATION:

• Morning Flight (6:30AM) Full Flight: $350 per person
• Evening (5:30PM) Full Flight: $350 per person

A typical balloon adventure is approximately three hours from set-up through pack-up with the actual flight lasting up to 45 minutes and will be returned to the balloon launch site via the balloonist chase vehicle. You will also enjoy a champagne toast with your pilot and crew and then be returned to the launch site in your balloon’s chase vehicle. Signing up for a balloon flight does not guarantee you will fly, as flights are completely dependent on wind and weather conditions. ALL BALLOONS TAKE OFF AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PILOT.

For a full flight, a $75 per person, deposit will be charged at the time of registration. If in the event you're late or do not show, the deposit is not refundable. The balance due should be paid (CASH ONLY) at check-in.  You will need to purchase admission tickets to enter the festival in addition to your flight purchase.  You must show ID and all passengers will need to sign a Liability Waiver when you check-in at The Balloon Ride Booth.  All sales are final. No refunds, transfers or exchanges, no exceptions. Hot-air balloons may not inflate or fly if wind and or weather conditions do not allow.  The slightest amount of wind makes it dangerous for inflation of a hot-air balloon and should this happen, refunds for flight deposits will be issued only to those that have shown for check-in for their flight and will be issued back to the card it was purchased on.   If you do not show, regardless of wind and weather conditions, you waive your deposit.

All passengers must be tall enough to see over the side of the basket (approximately 48-inches). Basket size varies from balloon-to-balloon; therefore riders may not be able to ride together, however we do our best to place parties together when possible.  Very seldom do we have to separate parties, but on a rare occasion it does happen. Passengers should dress in comfortable clothing and closed-toe footwear. The temperature might vary only a couple of degrees from the ground temperature.  

In the past, balloon rides have been used for engagements, weddings, client rewards, birthday/graduation gifts and more. Don't miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Hot-air balloon flights tend to sell out in advance. If time slots are not sold out, or someone does not show up for their time slot, then a limited number of rides will be available at the Ride Booth. CASH ONLY, please.
 
Please print your confirmation email and bring it as well as valid ID with you on the day of your ride. All passengers MUST check-in at the Balloon Ride Booth to sign a liability waiver. The balance due will be paid upon arrival to the Balloon Ride Booth. CASH ONLY.

Please, leave yourself plenty of travel time as traffic may cause significant delays. No refunds will be issued for missed rides due to late arrival.
 
For morning flights, check-in is at 5:30 a.m.
For evening flights, check-in is at 4:30 p.m.

TETHERED HOT-AIR BALLOON FLIGHT INFORMATION: 

• ​Tethered Rides: $30 Per Person (CASH ONLY)

​A tether ride is where a balloon is secured and anchored to the ground via a rope, often tied to vehicles. This hot-air balloon ride experience is typically not more than 5 minutes and will give you a small experience of a balloon flight and 360 degree sensation a full flight has. The balloon lifts off the ground to the limit of the rope and then slowly descends.  The height of the flight is usually a height of 50-100ft. Tether Rides are available for $30 per person (CASH ONLY) on site. 

For a tethered ride you will pay cash in person at the festival. You will need to purchase admission tickets to enter the festival in addition to your flight purchase.

For a tethered balloon ride, you DO NOT need to show ID nor do you need to fill out a Liability Waiver. All sales are final. No refunds, transfers or exchanges, no exceptions.

By purchasing a Hot-Air Balloon Ride, you agree to the following:

• All sales are final. If your launch is canceled for any reason, if there is room at a later launch, you will be asked to try and reschedule at check-in the day of the canceled launch. If, at the end of the weekend, NONE of the launches were successful, the $75 deposit will be refunded.  If you are unable to make a rescheduled launch then we will also refund your deposit.
• All passengers must be tall enough to see over the side of the basket (approximately 48-inches).
• Passengers should dress in comfortable clothing and closed-toe footwear.
• All passengers should be able to jump off of a picnic table as you will need to climb into and out of the balloon basket and landings can be bumpy.
• Balloons are not handicapped accessible.
• All passengers, willingly, and voluntarily assume full responsibility for all risks of any and every kind involved with or arising from participation in hot-air balloon activities whether during flight preparation, takeoff, flight, landing, travel to or from the takeoff or landing areas, or otherwise. 
• In consideration for participation in this activity and with the intent to be legally bound all passengers release, waive and relinquish all claims as a direct or indirect result of participation in this activity and irrevocably release all of the Parties, (Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Dutchess County Fairgrounds, or the individual balloonists) their employees, agents, representatives, elected officials, contractors, subcontractors, successors, heirs, assigns, affiliates, volunteers and legal representatives from, and hold them harmless for, all claims, rights, demands or causes of action, whether known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, arising out of the ballooning activities, which may be had against the Parties in connection with ballooning activities with the Parties.
• All passengers agree to make no claims against or sue any of the Parties for injuries, death or property damage caused due to the ordinary negligence of the Parties or any dangerous conditions of any property upon which the ballooning activities may take place.
• Signing up for a balloon flight does not guarantee you will fly, as flights are completely dependent on weather. ALL BALLOONS TAKEOFF AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PILOT.  Sometimes, due to impending weather and WIND or other conditions, balloons will launch early/late or not at all.
• Basket sizes vary from balloon-to-balloon and are dependent on weight capacity; therefore, passengers may not be able to ride together. We will do our best to put all passengers together when possible and seldom separate twosomes, but it is a possibility.
• There is a weight limit in a balloon basket and for safety reasons each rider must be under 250lbs.
